The Printing Applications Laboratory at the Rochester Institute of Technology has certified Masterpiece Graphix 24 mil MAX Impact Stocks for printing on the HP Indigo 5500 and 7000 digital sheet presses. The new stock, which enables the production of 24 point postcards on a standard digital press, was given RIT’s highest rating of three stars in every category tested including runnability, fixing and blanket compatibility.

Masterpiece Graphix MAX Impact stocks are 12 mils thick, with a specialized no-tack adhesive on the back of the sheet and a score down the center. Both sides of the design are printed on the front of the sheet. When folded at the score with a typical bindery folder and cut on a guillotine cutter, the front and back lock together to create a 24 mil card. After printing, the sheets can be UV coated to add gloss and protection, or a thin protective lamination layer can be added to make the card thicker and more durable.
